"Shortly after starting with Dorn, I was invited to attend a meeting between Dorn and P3 Homeowners. This meeting was to address a perceived problem with the grinder pumps installed in the community. Dorn had spent the time and money to address this issue. I watched as Dave and Steve stood in front of all the homeowners an explain the installation and use of the product and how the engineer from the manufacture stated that we had installed correctly. After all this I saw our Dorn Executive team stand in front of this hostile crowd and answer questions, concerns for over an hour. We talk about “make it right.” This is a fine example of this core value. By acknowledging the issue and listening, the exec team turned this hostile crowd into Dorn Fans."

"Delivering Food to the Field - It is awesome to see the excitement in the trades when we drive into a community with our Dorn flag flying. You see them jumping off equipment and coming down from ladders to come and enjoy the lunch that we bring out. One trip to Pronghorn I pulled into a cul-de-sac and opened the trunk, there were probably 25 guys/gals coming out from the homes." - Sherry S.
"A homeowner had just purchased a Dorn Home. Shortly after moving, the elderly husband fell from a ladder and passed away from his injuries. After being told this information, I met with the wife and volunteered to do anything she may need done. From changing filters to hanging pictures to Christmas lights. She was so grateful and being able to help her was very fulfilling. We still contact each other occasionally but just to keep in touch. Building not only homes but special relationships is what makes life great!" - Glendon P.
"In my time in the military, I traveled the world and have seen some of the worst places and communities. What brought me to Dorn was we, as a whole, make the community better by building dream homes one day at a time improving the lives of all we touch."

"One story that I could tell from working at Dorn Homes that “inspired” or moved me was from my first year with the company. Working in an office where you’re in close proximity with everyone, it’s very easy to spread sickness fast. When one gets hit, everyone is bound to get it. One time the Dorn office was hit with what we call the “Dorn Plague.” Almost everyone got sick. At one point there was probably only 5 people left standing. Everyone was blowing through their sick time because of the “plague.” After the sickness had finally settled, it was announced within the office that Dorn was not going to use people’s personal sick time since everyone had gotten hit with it. I remember thinking that not a lot of companies would do that for their employees. We really are a family here and that warms my heart." - Hailee O.
"One of my favorite stories is way back shortly after we started building in Quailwood - probably sometime in 2012 or 2013, Clark-who has a heart of gold-was driving the neighborhood and saw a little girl selling lemonade. He stopped and found out she was selling it because one of her family members had cancer. Clark brought that story up to management, who approved a huge BBQ lunch to be held-getting trades and employees-like Sherry Savage and Katrina to help organize it-and the proceeds went to benefit the lemonade girl’s family." - Sherry H.
"We moved to Prescott after our parents passed to start fresh. So impressed with how well built Dorn Homes are, we purchased and moved in. Feeling more and more at home, through the whole process and realizing that the community we chose was truly our new family. Folks continuing to help each other, modeling the assistance and care received by Dorn Homes all through the building process. My husband and I are honored and blessed to now be part of the Dorn Family as well and to be able to help others in more communities than just our own.
Also, Dorn Homes is such a caring company to allow my husband time off to help our son move his things back to Arizona before he left overseas again, on orders with the Army, for Italy. What a gift of understanding and “Family First” attitude!" - Pattie K.
"It feels good to work for a company who truly lives the mission of the company. Improving the lives of those we touch. Everyday and every meeting that is held as a company you can feel the care and appreciation the leadership and especially Dave Grounds has for every employee, every trade, and every customer. What a great feeling knowing that at any time you could be helping someone more than is known." - Dave H.
