ANNOUNCING: Dorn Homes is Becoming Evermore Homes
ASK ABOUT 2-1-BUYDOWN FINANCING
As one of the top new home builders in Arizona, we get to talk to a lot of people about why they’re moving to the area. Some are simply moving to a new home, having lived in the local area all their lives, but we’ve noticed that many families have been moving to the Prescott area for the same reason: a new job.
Since 2020, Prescott and Prescott Valley have been fortunate enough to benefit from the addition of, and growth of, many key businesses in the area. These businesses are bringing new jobs, and so many of the people seeking those jobs have bought their new homes from us.
This good fortune for the area is no fluke; the government officials on both a state and city level have been working hard to ensure plenty of new business comes not only to the biggest cities in Arizona but also to Prescott. With the benefits they’re offering companies, we expect even more will flock to the area in the years to come.
If you’re looking for a new job opportunity, it’s here in Prescott waiting for you. Here are 5 of the top companies creating jobs that you should know about.
While the Yavapai Regional Medical Center was first built in 1943, the organization (which includes two acute care hospitals) has provided the area with jobs and healthcare in the years since and continues to grow. In November 2020, Dignity Health (a business based in San Francisco) became affiliated with the hospital.
The YRMC CEO, Anthony Torres MD, has long been a catalyst for growth across the organization. He took on this new role as recently as July 2022, so his desire to grow the organization is expected to continue through 2023 and beyond.
You can find their careers page here, and they also have a pharmacy residency program.
The number one regional college in the West, ERAU provides programs for some of the brightest minds, covering applied science, aviation, space, engineering, and more. The Prescott campus serves almost 3,000 undergraduate students and over 50 graduate students from all over the world.
They’re always looking for professors, assistant professors, registrars, counselors, safety managers, and other support staff. If you have expertise in any of the areas they teach, from cybersecurity to accounting, your next career move should be to ERAU.

CP Technologies opened its new North American headquarters and manufacturing facility just north of Prescott Regional Airport in June 2021. The 50,000 sq. ft. complex builds rugged high-performance computers, data links, and displays for industrial and military use. These computers are designed to withstand harsh conditions, including extreme heat, cold, g-forces, and shock.
With the level of expertise needed to create such impressive devices, CP Technologies brings a lot of new high-paying jobs to the area. The facility opened with 50 employees, but there are plans to grow that number to more than 150 full-time staff by the end of 2023.
Better still, CP Technologies VP Mark Kempf said, “We want to build another 50,000 sq. ft. complex [next door], but we need to get this one fully loaded first.” The addition of another similar facility next door could bring another 150 jobs to the area in the coming years.

A new 22,000 sq. ft. FedEx Ground facility opened in Q4 of 2022, just south of Prescott Regional Airport. This new facility provides Prescott with jobs and turns Prescott into a logistics hub for the area. FedEx is recruiting for this facility right now (February 2023) and offers some great benefits.
Prescott Regional Airport provides non-stop flights to all major US cities (and Mexico), and their new passenger terminal opened almost two years ago, in March 2021. The new 18,000 sq. ft. terminal not only provides travellers with better facilities but also more job opportunities.
Furthermore, now that the new terminal is complete, attention will turn to a runway expansion, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2026. Both of these developments represent a bigger future for Prescott Regional Airport, and, as a result, Prescott and the surrounding communities.
Since there are so many businesses hiring for roles at Prescott Regional Airport, it’s best to do your research and apply to those businesses directly or use a search like Indeed to find all available jobs.
Once you’ve made your application and landed your next role, it’s time to think about where you’re going to live. Our Prescott and Prescott Valley communities provide you with the best of both worlds; high-paying job opportunities with city amenities and a small-town feel.
